Design Synergy invites prospective clients to their office for a meeting to ascertain their design requirements and expectations, whether the project is an addition, renovation, new home, multiple dwelling or commercial development. This initial consultation covers processes, budgets, timeframes and establishes the broad parameters of the design requirements. This is an no obligation meeting and is of no cost to the client.
Subsequent to this meeting, Design Synergy prepares a quotation and timeframe.
After acceptance of the quotation there are typically three key stages to our process.

Design – we consider this stage to be the most crucial. The first step in the design process is to understand the client’s site in order to optimise its potential for development. This will often incorporate a site visit and measure. We then work closely with the client to establish a specific set of parameters to achieve a design that meets the clients needs and expectations while factoring in the solar passive energy efficient concepts.
Once the design criterion is firmly established a preliminary design is created. The preliminary design plans are reviewed with the client and amendments made, as necessary, to achieve the desired outcome.
Design Synergy uses a 3D digital modeling program that is able to show the client perspective sketches throughout the process.
On completion of the design there are generally two documentation stages to follow:

If the property is under a town planning control overlay, a Development Application (DA) approval will be required from the local Council. Design Synergy understand the requirements of Council and work closely with all parties to assist in establishing the desired outcome.

Building Licence drawings – plans are prepared to satisfy Council requirements and generally include: site plan, floor plan, elevations, cross section/s and construction details (as required). Design Synergy is also able to provide the Deemed to Satisfy Energy Conformance Report which forms part of the Council application.
On completion of this stage, the plans require engineering details of the proposed work which form part of the submission to Council. Design Synergy are pleased to assist in this process and can forward the plans electronically to engineers on behalf of the Client.
Working drawings – These drawings are optional depending on client requirements and include wet areas and kitchen layouts, additional construction details, roof plans and electrical layouts.
